In traditional Vancouver Island ways, the farm market season is in full swing! Who doesn’t love the vibe of buying fresh local foods directly from those who made it? One of my favourite things to do on a rare Saturday off is to stroll on over to the Moss Street Market in Victoria, BC! Restocking on both the essentials and the local treats, while chatting casually with enthusiastic vendors. The atmosphere in the market is always relaxed, happy, and hungry! I spent a short time quickly photographing some displays.
My compliments to our local farm vendors! To the best of my ability, here’s a list of the vendors shown: Fiddlehead Farm, Haliburton Farms, Saanich Organics, Littlest Acre Organics, Tree Island, The O’Briens, Maison Preserves Co., Salt West, Sun Trio Farm, Kildara Farm, Wooly Bear Farm, and KD’s Soap and Stuff.
Here are some photos from a recent trip of mine to the Moss Street Market.
