Maybe I've said this before, but damn I hate writing captions. Also, instagram is not a place I like to spend my time so much anymore. Because mental health.

I get hyper focused. I get obsessed with the numbers. I spend hours trying to "engage" on the platform. Then I fall into the habit of constantly comparing myself to others. It's not super helpful.

So the plan from here on out is just posting because I want to share my photos. Maybe I will have something to say, maybe not. Don't expect a lot of fancy words from me. Not to say that IG doesn't have its benefits, but the pressure of always being active on here is too much.

As soon as this platform was no longer about sharing photos but suddenly having to create full on reels and content on top of everything else, I basically dipped. It's so much healthier for me to focus my energy in the non-virtual world.

Lately I've been focused simply on just doing my thing for myself and business. The depths of winter are always a challenge and SAD hits me hard on top of my regular depression, which affects me both mentally and physically. So a few months ago I made it back to training kickboxing regularly and focused hard on fuelling my body properly. Something that is necessary for me to manage my disorders and the stress of TTC.

All of that to say that IG isn't the ideal place for me to spend my time, but I also don't want to lose my connections. So I will be showing up when I want to and not when I feel like I am supposed to. Heck those self imposed expectations.
