I don't speak often about politics but felt the ne I don't speak often about politics but felt the need to clearly state my stance on the above topics. My job is to celebrate people and their love. Marriage is inherently political. Many of my clients are queer. Many are immigrants. I know I am in Canada but fascism has been bleeding through our borders already and I am not here for it. This one is a bit personal. 🌈 Today is Pregnancy This one is a bit personal. 🌈 Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day and while these babies may not have been around long, they still left an imprint on our hearts. So many of us carry around the often invisible grief of losing a baby. In the summer after my first miscarriage we hiked the North Coast Trail and one morning saw this beautiful double rainbow. It felt like a sign and that moment has always stuck with me. Today I feel so fortunate to be holding my three month old daughter while writing this, but still can't help but wonder who the other ones would have become.
